  5.                        when installing from a 3.5"/1.44MB floppy drive.

  7.           WORKAROUND:  Place the files in a different sequence on DISK 1
  8.                        by making a replacement copy of the disk and using
  9.                        the replacement to install OS/2.

  12.                     MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING DISKETTES:

  14.                        One 3.5" (1.44) Replacement Disk 1
  15.  
  16.                        One 3.5" (1.44) Temporary Disk 1

  19.           FOR COMPUTERS WITH ONE 3.5" 1.44MB DRIVE:

  106.        4) Insert TEMPORARY disk in Drive A:

  108.           In this step, files on the TEMPORARY DISK 1 (SOURCE) will be
  109.           copied to the REPLACEMENT DISK 1 (TARGET)

  112.            -  Erase Bundle from TEMPORARY DISK 1

  114.                   - At DOS A> prompt, type:

  116.                               ERASE BUNDLE

  121.                      COMMAND.COM in drive A:

  133.                   -  This process will take a lot of time due to the copying
  134.                      of the diskettes.  Many insertions will take place.

  136.                   -  When this above operation has completed,
  137.                      insert original DISK 1 from OS/2 package:

  139.                      OS/2 Disk 1 in Drive A:

  141.                   -  At the DOS A> prompt, type:

  143.                                COPY A:bundle B:

  145.                   -  This time the ORIGINAL OS/2 2.1 DISK 1 is the SOURCE disk
  146.                      and the REPLACEMENT DISK 1 is the TARGET disk.

  149.        5) The REPLACEMENT DISK 1, just created should be used to
  150.           install OS/2 2.1.  Please KEEP the original DISK 1 that came
  151.           with OS/2 2.1 diskettes in a safe place.  However, remember
  152.           to write an note to use the REPLACEMENT DISK 1 to install
  153.           OS/2 2.1.  After complete installation, there will not be a need
  154.           to keep the TEMPORARY diskette.

  267.        5) The REPLACEMENT DISK 1, just created should be used to
  268.           install OS/2 2.1.  Please KEEP the original DISK 1 that came
  269.           with OS/2 diskettes in a safe place.  However, suggested
  270.           you write a note to use the REPLACEMENT DISK 1 to install
  271.           OS/2 2.1.  After installation is completed, there will not be a
  272.           need to keep the 3.5" TEMPORARY DISK 1.
